AF1s Shattered My Dreams. 😔😔
I’m in my room, on my bed, scrolling through my Instagram feed. Then I saw the guy, Fola. Low-key I hate him.
New post, killing it as usual. I’m jealous as fuck….
I mean, Fola and I basically have the same passion for fashion.
No, I love it more…. we even have the same style but, the only difference is he takes good pictures, and I don’t… or as Tomiwa puts it, he looks good in the clothes, and I don’t. 💔
I’m still following him on IG, maybe I don’t actually hate him, who follows their enemy on IG?
To tell the truth, Fola is a really cool guy; only a sadist would hate him.
For real.
Yes, I’m jealous but he still inspires me on a low-key.
Okay, enough Fola talk, it’s starting to get awkward.
Back on my bed, I drop my phone and staring into the blank, I think, I want to take nice pictures too… it’s easy, right?
Wear nice clothes.
Find beautiful locations. Get someone to take me nice pictures.
Post them.
Easy.
I’ll do it on Saturdays and edit the pictures during the week before Saturday.
I have a plan! This is the beginning of an INSTAGRAM WAR.
I already know who will take my pictures.
I have a problem though, I don’t have great outfits.
So, I quickly grab a pen and a book and start jotting *CLOTHES I NEED TO BUY*.
I list my heart out, tees, pants, overshirts, beanies, bags, turtlenecks,…, and shoes… SHOES!
I love shoes! They matter a lot. They can make a good outfit to become a great outfit.
So easily my main focus was shoes, at least I already have some pants and tees, I can start with them and buy more later.
Shoes are vital; other things ain’t. (Ironically, I only have 1 shoe, I’ve worn that thing a bazillion times.)
I pick up my phone again and start researching. I read fashion blogs and watch YouTube videos of guys with my kind of style, and finally figure out my second shoe, which will be a sneaker, a NIKE AIRFORCE 1.
They say it’s aesthetic, I love the way it looks, it’s fashion-forward and, it goes with most of my clothes, so yeah, AF1.
With joy, I go to Google: *How much is Airforce 1 in Nigeria*
I order it online from Jumia and, I get it the next day!
Nope!

Where TF will I find 25k? Even if I have 25k right now… will I use it to buy a sneaker? Just one sneaker? Definitely not!
My dreams are shattered; no more Instagram war. I give up, I still want to do fashion though, but I guess fashion is not for the poor.
